The Japanese leaves one piece of food

Hello. It is tukimaru.

This time we will talk about "One Leave of Dishes" that Japanese may have experience.

Yes, that phenomenon happens when two or more people are eating.

There are various ways of calling in Japan depending on the region, and it seems that it is called "one piece left", "one piece left behind", "a lump of reserve".

There is no reason why someone told me that "I will leave the last one!", But there are things that I am leaving with nature when I eat with some people. When you notice that "There is one," you are eating at the other party. Or, I'll eat it. I am conscious of escaping from an unspoiled one as soon as possible.

That's because I feel embarrassed about the one left behind. In other words, thinking that if you eat the last one, you think someone around you will not be able to eat it. Also, from the surroundings it may be unpleasant why you think you will eat the last one without hesitation (what grows up). In a way, leaving one is like an implicit table manners. On the other hand, it seems that Japanese people who tend to reserve to leave the last one seems to blur.

By the way, I heard that this one is well-cultured peculiar to Japan.

From an overseas viewpoint, it seems like "You are using so much attention what you are" or "You are already hungry."

No, it is not.

Avoid eating all the foods offered in that great country, China. I heard that there is something like manners, culture, etc.

The reason is that when entertaining guests with cooking, if you can eat everything, it means that the amount of cooking was not enough. It is a splendid hospitality culture. However, the meaning seems to be slightly different from the one left by Japanese people.

I think that one of the remains of Japan is the emotion of feeling to compare opponents and the spirit of ancient Japanese concession. I can not tell the truth by myself. Only one dish will remain after all the feelings of everyone there comes together.

I thought it was embarrassing until now, but from now on it may be that I will leave one thing one by one.
